Ankara, Oct 11 (ANI): Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari has remarked that the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was a source of inspiration for India's freedom movement.
Vice President Ansari, who is presently on a five-day visit to Turkey, while signing in Golden Book at Ataturk Mausoleum here today opined that the ideals symbolized by Mustafa Kemal Pasha continue to inspire secular, liberal and democratic people the world over.
"It is an honour for me to pay my homage and respects to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, a statesman, visionary leader, and the founder of the Republic of Turkey. His leadership in the war of independence of Turkey was a source of inspiration for India's freedom movement," said Vice President Ansari in his remarks in the Golden Book.
"The ideals symbolized by Mustafa Kemal Pasha continue to inspire secular, liberal and democratic people the world over," he added. (ANI)
