Islamabad , Mon, 10 Oct 2011 ANI

Islamabad, Oct 9 (ANI): Unknown armed men torched two oil tankers in Bolan district of Balochistan province in Southwest Pakistan.

Police said that the Afghanistan-bound tankers were coming from Karachi when armed men riding a motorbike intercepted them and set them ablaze.

No one was hurt in the attack but no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, Xinhua reports.

Suspected militants routinely target NATO supplies trucks and oil tankers mostly in northwest Pakistan.

Officials said about 70 percent supplies for upto 160,000 U.S.-led NATO troops are transported through Pakistan.

The United States has signed a deal with Russia for an alternate supply route due to frequent attacks on NATO trucks in Pakistan. (ANI)
