London, Oct 03 (ANI): One of America's most popular figurative expressionist painters, Todd White is donating his striking portrait of Princess Diana to the Diana Award charity, which was set up in her memory.
He hopes the picture, created as part of a collection called Woman, will help to preserve her legacy.
White, 41, had intended to donate his portrait, named Diana, to the official memorial fund set up in 1997 to continue her legacy.
But the fund is prevented from selling art to raise money.
So, he has flown to London to give the portrait to the Diana Award, a charity that since 1999 has handed out 36,000 awards to young people.
"We are very pleased he has chosen us," the Daily Express quoted the charity as saying. (ANI)
