New Delhi, Oct 3 (ANI): The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, will be on a two-day visit to India beginning Tuesday at the invitation of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
This will be President Karzai's second visit to India this year.
President Karzai's visit to India and the Prime Minister's landmark visit to Kabul in May 2011, carries forward the high-level engagement between the two countries.
The visit provides an opportunity for both countries to consolidate their strategic partnership and discuss bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister will hold discussions with President Karzai and host a dinner in his honour.
President Karzai will also deliver the third R. K. Mishra Memorial Lecture organized by Observer Research Foundation on October 5. (ANI)
