Kuala Lumpur, Oct 1(ANI): Malaysia's Deputy Federal Territories and Urban Well being Minister M. Saravanan has urged the country's political parties to recruit more Malay-Indians in government jobs to reduce unemployment in the community.aravanan said there was no need to set up a bureau specifically to tackle problems faced by the Malay-Indian community.
Saravanan said more Malay Indians must be appointed to higher posts in government departments, the Star reports.
He said many problems faced by the Malay Indian community could not be solved due to inadequate Indian officers in such departments.
Saravanan said inadequate Indian staffing was also among the factors leading to the defeat of Malaysian Indian Congress in the 2008 general election. (ANI)
