Beijing, Sept 23(ANI): A new survey has found that the average age of wealthy people is 36 years, and 20 percent of them are single in China.
The survey found that China has the highest proportion of "double income no kids" at 18 percent, the Independent reports.
An HSBC corporation and international research company Nielsen survey aimed to find the composition of the richest 10 percent of the population of eight countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
The survey focussed on China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia.
The survey found that average age of wealthy Indians was 39 years, as compared to 38 years in Indonesia, which has second youngest proportion of wealthy people.
At least 12 percent of the wealthy population was single in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The world's travel industry is increasingly targeting China's wealthy population as the country is expected to have 79 million tourists by 2015.
According to travel industry reports, 72 percent of China's international tourists opt for "high end" travel experiences. (ANI)
