Karachi, Sept 20(ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said that the Supreme Court should ban political parties with militant wings from participating in elections.
Talking to media persons at a local hotel in Karachi, Sharif said that an amendment should be made in the Constitution or the Supreme Court should take suo moto action in order to restrict such political parties from taking part in elections.
Such links should be curbed in order to restore peace in Karachi, Geo News quoted him, as saying.
The PML-N chief said that Karachi does not belong to any one particular group, as it has people from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. (ANI)
