Canberra, Sept 18 (ANI): Australian Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd had a run-in with Mexican airport security after the officials flagged his jar of vegemite as a potentially dangerous liquid.
According to News.com.au, Rudd was flying from Mexico City to attend next week's United Nations General Assembly meeting when the incident took place.
The former Prime Minister tweeted about the incident, saying he needed "foreign ministerial intervention."
Rudd's office confirmed the incident and said he needed assistance from officials at the Mexican Foreign Service, who were escorting him to through the airport, to get the vegemite on to the plane. (ANI)
