Gaddafi urges 'dwindling' troops to 'do or die' in their fight for Libya

Tripoli , Sun, 18 Sep 2011 ANI

Tripoli, Sept 18 (ANI): Embattled Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has reportedly urged his gradually diminishing troops to "do or die" in their fight for the nation.

According to a British security source it is a 'do or die' situation for troops loyal to ousted Gaddafi.

"These men will carry on because they are only going to die unless they defend themselves. There is no real way out for them," the Daily Star quoted the security source, as saying.

"Hopes are still high though that someone will turn Gaddafi in and claim the big fat cheque," the source added.

Meanwhile, British spies have said that Gaddafi might have fled Libya to save his own skin.

One key aide said they are "not 100 per cent sure" he is still in Libya, especially as his family have crossed into Algeria and Niger. (ANI)
