Washington, Sept 17 (ANI): High school cheerleaders in California have been asked to cover up with sweat pants or other alternatives considered to be indecent.
The risque uniforms of cheerleaders are said to have sparked controversies from California to Florida, after which schools are considering whether to set higher standards for outfits considered too skimpy.
According to San Jose Mercury News, Traci William, principal of San Jose's Piedmont Hills High School has said that the cheerleaders must wear sweat pants if they want to wear the skirts in class.
"Pockets are hanging out," Fox News quoted Williams as saying.
"Cheeks are hanging out. We don't want them bending over," Williams stated.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Leesburg High School in Lake County, Fla, has told cheerleaders that they can't wear their uniforms to school, even on game day, unless they wear additional clothing to make outfits less scanty. (ANI)
