London, Sept 13(ANI): University of Bradford researchers have developed a new lie-detection system that could be used in British airports.
It is not yet clear whether passengers would be informed that they are being monitored through a new lie detector, The Scotsman reports.
The device operates with the help of computer program that detects changes in facial expressions and in blood flow around the eyes to detect lies.
The program was developed after a preliminary research on 40 people who read a story and were told to either tell the truth or lie when questioned about it.
Participants had to answer ten questions correctly, which established a baseline for their facial expressions and the blood flow patterns around their eyes. (ANI)
