Asia's 'First of its kind' skybridge to open in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur,Sept 9(ANI): Malaysia will open a skybridge, the first of its kind in Asia, located in new Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2(KLIA2) next year.

 

KLIA 2,which is Malaysia's new main low-cost airport, will have a 300 metre pedestrian bridge to get to the satellite building to help passengers catch low-cost flights.

 

The construction of KLIA2 is expected to completed in 13 months,the Star reports.

 

KLIA2 is just 1.5 kilometres from the main Kuala Lumpur International Airport compared to the more than 11 kilometre distance between the main terminal and the present Low Cost Carrier Terminal.

 

KLIA2 would also house one of Malaysia's largest shopping centres spanning 70,000 square metres.

 

It may be the biggest shopping area for an airport in the region.(ANI)
