Lahore, August 30(ANI): Shahbaz Taseer, the abducted son of slain Pakistan politician Salmaan Taseer, is still alive, Punjab Governor Latif Khosa has said.
Shahbaz was abducted on gunpoint by unknown men from Lahore's Gulburg area last Friday.
Khosa said that significant clues regarding Shahbaz's abduction had been found during the investigation, The Express Tribune reports.
However, the Punjab Governor expressed dissatisfaction over the investigation being conducted by the provincial government, claiming that the probe was being carried out at a slow pace.
Earlier, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani met the Taseer family at their residence in Lahore to assure all-out support for Shahbaz's recovery.
Gilani assured the family that the federal government will help the Punjab Government in recovering Shahbaz, adding that police and other security agencies were working round the clock on the case.
Investigations into Shahbaz's abduction have led the Lahore police to interrogate two servants apart from seven employees and guards at his company. (ANI)
