Pak security forces avert Eid- ul- Fitr terror attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province

Islamabad, Aug 29(ANI): Pakistan's security forces have averted terror attacks that planned for Eid- ul-Fitr, and have recovered a suicide jacket and a large quantity of explosives during a search operation in Char Bagh tehsil in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

 

According to sources, security forces cordoned off the entire Char Bagh after getting reports that terrorists had targeted the area.

 

Two terrorists, including a key commander surrendered to the security forces during the search operation.

 

The arrested terrorists confessed to planning to carry out major attacks during Eid, the Daily Times reports.

The sources further informed that an official was injured when some terrorists fired at the security forces from an undisclosed location. (ANI)
