New York, Aug 14 (ANI): A London-based Indian origin businessman, whose electrical goods shop was looted by rioters, has said that he does not hold any grievances against them.
Brij Sehgal was called by a security firm in the early hours of Tuesday after rioters smashed their way into his electrical goods shop near Ealing Broadway in west London, emptying the store of plasma screen TVs and DVD players in a matter of minutes.
Sehgal, however, does not harbour any "negative emotions" against the looters.
"They swept in here like a human tsunami, like a plague of locusts sweeping everything before them," but "I'm not angry because that is a very negative emotion and I want to look forward, not back," Sky News quoted him, as saying.
However, given a chance, he wants to ask the looters 'why' they carried out such an act.
"If I had the chance to speak to them I would make them tea and ask them why?" Sehgal said, adding: They stole what they could sell and they left what they couldn't get rid of. I'm determined to keep going and rebuild because of the love and affection I have received from people on this street since it happened."
Police have so far made one arrest in this connection. (ANI)
