London, Aug 11 (ANI): Shrien Dewani, the Brit-Indian millionaire, who has been charged with masterminding his wife's murder during their honeymoon, will be extradited to South Africa to stand trial.
Thirty-one- year-old Dewani, who is currently undergoing psychiatric treatment, is expected to appeal the ruling.
His lawyers argued that he was mentally unfit to stand trial and if jailed, would face 'inhumane' conditions in South Africa's dangerous and overcrowded jails, the Telegraph reports.
Hugo Keith, representing the South African authorities, however, said his illness should not prevent his extradition in any case.
The South African government also assured that Dewani would only be held in the more salubrious prisons and was guaranteed a single cell with a flushing lavatory and hot and cold running water. (ANI)
