London, Aug 1 (ANI): The 19-year-old man arrested in the Shetland Islands, Scotland, has been charged with computer offences by police investigating hacking attacks.
Jake Davis, 18, was charged with unauthorized computer access and conspiracy to carry out a distributed denial of service (DoS) attack on the Serious Organised Crime Agency's (Soca) website, the BBC reports.
It was stated earlier that Davis has acted as a spokesman for both Anonymous and LulzSec, who between them have recently targeted the CIA, PayPal, Soca, Sony, News International and others.
He faces five charges and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court, the report said.
Officers from the police's Central e-Crime Unit arrested the teenager last week, in what they describe as a 'pre-planned intelligence-led operation'.
Ryan Cleary, 19, of Wickford, Essex, was also charged last month with five offences under the Criminal Law and Computer Misuse Acts, including an alleged hacking attack against Soca's website. (ANI)
