Home that inspired George Orwell to write on sale for ?1m

London, July 31 (ANI): The humble abode, where George Orwell decided that he wanted to be a writer, is up for sale at the price of just over 1 million pounds.

 

Eric Arthur Blair, who wrote under the pen name George Orwell, lived in the Victorian home in Shiplake, Oxfprdshire, from the age of 9 to 12.

 

The English writer met Jacintha Buddicom, who was a poet, after which the two aspiring writers started reading and writing poetry.

 

The current owner of 'Roselawn' Hakim Bushram has decided to sell the house after 16-years as he and his wife are re-locating since their children have grown up. (ANI)
