Kashgar, July 31(ANI): At least six people were killed in two separate blasts in Kashgar in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, local authorities have confirmed.
The first blast occurred in a mini- van at about 10:30 p.m. on July 30. Almost at the same time, another explosion was heard from a food market, where thugs hijacked a car after stabbing its driver, and rammed into several pedestrians on their way to escape.
Sources from a local hospital said six people had died and that doctors are trying to save the injured, who had been hospitalised after the blasts.
It is not yet known how many people were injured in the blasts.
Police are hunting for the fugitives, Xinhua reports. (ANI)
