New York, July 27 (ANI): The New York hotel who maid accused former International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexually assaulting her, is expected to meet with Manhattan prosecutors in a bid to revive the case and prove she is not a money-hungry opportunist.
Nafissatou Diallo will try to explain a recorded phone call between her and an Arizona inmate in which she reportedly told him, "Don't worry, this guy has a lot of money."
Her lawyer claims the call, made a day after the May 14 alleged attack in former IMF chief's Sofitel suite, was mistranslated from a Guinean dialect.
The meeting comes as prosecutors pushed back Strauss-Kahn's next court date by three weeks, to Aug. 23, while they consider dropping the criminal charges, the New York Post reports.
"We are confident that when the investigation is completed, (Manhattan DA Cyrus) Vance will move to dismiss all charges," the Post quoted Strauss-Kahn's lawyers, William Taylor and Benjamin Brafman, as saying. (ANI)
