S China Sea issue to be solved by negotiation: China

Beijing, July 22 (ANI): Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi has said his country and Vietnam have expressed a willingness to settle the South China Sea issue through peaceful negotiation.

 

The two countries should avoid internationalizing and complicating things further. He also expressed support for a recent China-ASEAN agreement, setting out guidelines for conduct in the South China Sea, Xinhua quoted Jiechi, as saying.

 

Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem said Vietnam would strive to reach a consensus with China as soon as possible. (ANI)
