London, July 20(ANI): The Pakistan government has been operating a front organization in London to exert political pressure on the British government over the Kashmir issue, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has claimed.
Details of the organization, Washington-based Kashmiri American Council (KAC), emerged in a 43-page affidavit filed by the FBI in connection with the indictment of two US citizens on charges that they failed to register with the Justice Department as agents of Pakistan, as required by law.
One of the men, Zaheer Ahmad, is in Pakistan, but the other, KAC director Syed Fai, lives in Virginia and was arrested on Tuesday.
According to the affidavit, KAC is actually one of three "Kashmir Centers" that are run by "elements of the Pakistani government, including Pakistan's military intelligence service, the ISI."
The two other "Kashmir Centers," it said, are in London and Brussels.
Meanwhile, a Scotland Yard source said that they were liasing with US authorities, but had not made any arrests, the Telegraph reports. (ANI)
