London, July 18 (ANI): A long-lost love letter to a US college student is being sent to him after more than 50 years.
The California University of Pennsylvania is forwarding the letter to Muhammad Siddeeq, 74, at his Indianapolis home after his friends and family members heard about it being sent to a student with his former name.
The letter addressed to Clark Moore and postmarked February 1958 arrived at the campus mailroom last week.
"I still miss you as much as ever and love you a thousand times more. Please write me real soon. Vonnie," the Telegraph quoted the note as stating.
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Siddeeq says he has mixed emotions about it. It turns out he and Vonnie are divorced. She has declined to speak to the newspaper.
He told the Washington Observer-Reporter the letter is "a testament of the sincerity, interest and innocence of that time". (ANI)
