Democratic change needed in Pakistan: Musharraf

Islamabad, July 17 (ANI): Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said his country needs a real democratic change to over come the prevailing political situation.

 

Musharraf, who heads All Pakistan Muslim League, said the ruling parties have lost the support of civil and military bureaucracy due to their incompetence, The Nation reports.

 

In a statement, the general said that the 'next elections will prove to be the mother of all elections' He maintained that he will return to the country despite the incumbent government's campaign against him.

 

Commenting on Pakistan's relations with the US, Musharraf said the Americans should abandon the approach that Pakistan was solely dependent on them. (ANI)
