Washington, July 16(ANI): A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck off the Chilean coast on Friday, about 88 kilometers south-southwest of the port city of Valparaiso, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
The earthquake's epicenter was at a depth of 23 kilometres and hit at around 8.26 p.m. local time.
No immediate damage or casualties have been reported and no tsunami warning was issued, CBS News reports.
An 8.8 magnitude earthquake had hit Chile in February last year, killing over 800 people and causing widespread destruction. (ANI)
