Palo Alto, July 12 (ANI): The fantasy trading game 'The Great American Express Gold Rush' has been launched on Facebook with a prize fund of over 20,000 pounds, including the grand prize of gold bullion worth 10,000 pounds.
Players of all skill levels can compete with one another in this game, which involves facing daily trading challenges and buying and selling gold all over the world.
They would have to keep track of local news stories and determine how they affect the prices of gold in each virtual city.
The game would be online for one month and offers daily prizes to the players who accumulate the highest profit of each day.
Prizes range from reservations at Michelin-starred restaurants to flights to New York to state-of-the-art digital cameras.
The player, who has the single biggest daily profit, will win solid gold bullion worth 10,000 pounds from American Express.
"This is a first for American Express and has been designed as a fun and engaging way to compete with friends, family and other Facebook users. The game taps into people's competitive side and with the possibility of winning real gold bullion, the stakes are high." the Telegraph quoted American Express Vice President Richard Harris, as saying.
