Islamabad, July 3(ANI): A key commander of banned terrorist organisation, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has been arrested from Islamabad.
According to sources, TTP commander Ziaur Rehman was arrested from G-11 Sector of the Pakistani capital last night.
Rehman is an active member of the Taliban's intelligence network, Samaa TV reports.
The TTP has recently issued chilling threats against ten targets in Britain, America and France to avenge the killing of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
The TTP, which swears allegiance to Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar, is blamed for many of the suicide bombings across the country and remains highly dangerous despite a series of army offensives against its strongholds in north-west Pakistan. (ANI)
