Kuala Lumpur, July 2 (ANI): A bride-to-be in Malaysia was left shocked after her fiance married another woman on their planned wedding day, using their invitation cards.
According to the Harian Metro, the 25-year-old, who wanted to be known only as Mimi, said she had known the man, Z, for six years before they got engaged on April 7, 2007.
"June 4 was the date we were supposed to bersanding but he married someone else," Star Online quoted Mimi as saying.
She said they were supposed to be married on April 30 at her house but on April 13, Z had asked for more time to go back to his village to discuss something with family members.
"After that, I could not contact him as his handphone had been switched off and I did not suspect anything amiss at first," she said.
"On May 18, his father sent me an SMS asking me to return the wang hantaran of RM5, 050 from the RM7, 077 he had given me.
"I tried calling Z and his father but to no avail," Mimi recalled.
Later, she said, she found out that the invitation cards for her and Z were used for the wedding between Z and the other woman.
"The proof is that his wife's name is printed on the front of the cards while my name is on the inside," she said.
Mimi is puzzled why Z cancelled their wedding off at the last minute without giving her a reason. (ANI)
