NASA sues ex-American astronaut over missing Apollo 14 camera

Washington, July 2(ANI): NASA is suing former American astronaut Edgar Mitchell to get back a camera that went to the moon on the Apollo 14 mission in 1971.

According to the Daily Express, the lawsuit filed in South Florida federal court contends that Mitchell recently tried to sell the camera at an auction.

The 16mm camera is known as a Data Acquisition Camera.

NASA says there is no record that the device was ever transferred to Mitchell and NASA wants it back.

As the lunar module pilot of Apollo 14, Mitchell had spent nine hours working on the lunar surface in the Fra Mauro Highlands region, making him the sixth person to walk on the Moon. (ANI)
