Washington, Mar 13 (ANI): An Indianapolis church has put up provocative, eye-catching billboards with the intention of helping married couples in keeping the spark alive in their love life.
One of five is up at Interstate 65 and Lafayette Road, advertising the website www.myemptysexlife.com.
According to 6News' Myrt Price, the Blended Church, a nontraditional, multicultural church, is behind the site and the billboards, reports Theindychannel.com.
"It just had to be something relevant, where people would reach out and look at it, so we chose that," Dehner Maurer, senior pastor of the church as saying.Sex is all over. It's on the Internet. It's on the Web. You can't watch TV shows, you can't watch the Super Bowl without it being a major part of it.
"When God created (sex), he didn't do it in some back alley. It's a healthy thing for a married couple. It should be a major part of the relationship.
"We're just saying that running out and having affairs usually ends up in disaster, and it's not the answer," Maurer said.
Maurer said another part of the series would focus on talking to teens about sex.
"To give them the right answers. If we don't tell them, the kid down the street will," said Damon Howell, the church's equipping pastor.
The church said the billboards have only been up for eight days and have already resulted in thousands of hits on the church's website. The series on sex will begin the first week of April. (ANI)
