Tripoli, Mar.11 (ANI): Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam has said the regime would "never surrender" to rebels, who he described as terrorists, and added that NATO and the US would not be allowed to intervene.
In an interview given to British media, Saif said: "This is our country, we will never, ever give up and we will never ever surrender. This is our country. We fight here in Libya, we die here in Libya."
As NATO and the European Union began crisis talks on the Libyan situation, with possible discussions on a no- fly zone among other subjects, Saif said Libyans would never welcome any interference by the NATO or the US.
Saif also dismissed the recognition granted by France to Libya's opposition as its rightful representatives, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
He said: " If they want to support the militia, do it. But I will tell you now: you are going to lose. We will win."
"We are not afraid of the American fleet, NATO, France, Europe. This is our country. We live here, we die here. We will never, ever surrender to those terrorists," he added.
Saif confirmed that the Gaddafi regime would release the three Dutch soldiers who were held captive in Libya last month, but said the regime would be keeping their helicopter.
Earlier, Libya state television had stated that the soldiers had entered Libya "illegally" and would be handed over to officials from Greece and Malta. (ANI)
