Peshawar, Mar 8(ANI): The bail plea of US national Aaron Mark DeHaven, who was arrested in Peshawar for overstaying his visa validity period and sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand on February 26, has been accepted.
Sessions court judge Altaf-ur-Rehman accepted Aaron's bail plea, but restricted him from leaving the city without prior information, Geo News reports.
The judge also ordered the US national to submit bail money of 2 million rupees.
Aaron, who hails from Virginia, was taken into custody from Falcon Complex, a residential area in Peshawar, last month.
The accused US national has been accused of staying in Pakistan illegally for more than four months after the expiry of his visa, and has been charged under Section 14 of the Foreign Act, 1946.
Aaron also married a Pakistani girl two years ago, who was his colleague in a security agency office in the University Town area of Peshawar.
The official sources said that the US national was responsible for provision of security to the foreign nationals' visiting Pakistan and had an office in University Town, which at present had been shifted to Islamabad. (ANI)
