Nevada (US), Feb 7 (ANI): Worcestershire County Museum (WCM) in United Kingdom (UK) is celebrating Hindu festival of Holi in the last week of this month.
Notable Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, described it as "a step in the right direction".
Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, commended WCM for providing opportunity to the area residents to further explore Hindu festivals and concepts through Holi celebration. Zed urged museums all over UK to celebrate Hindu festivals of Diwali and Holi to bring together the communities where they can learn and play together.
Worcestershire County in West Midlands is home to the world's oldest continually published newspaper since 1690, Broadway Tower, birthplace of composer Edward Elgar, original Worcestershire sauce and Worcestershire Monkey dance. About 79 percent of County residents reportedly are Christian, about 13 percent have no religion, and over seven percent prefer not to state their religion. Mary Drinkwater is the County Council chair, Trish Haines is Chief Executive, and Rachel Robinson is Visitor Services Officer.
