London, Jan 29 (ANI): Porn shame minister Jacqui Smith is set to make a documentary about pornography for BBC.
The former Labour Home Secretary's shocking new job comes after she was caught up in the expenses scandal in which she charged taxpayers for the cost of hiring two blue movies watched by her husband.
She is to present a documentary for BBC Radio 5 Live, entitled 'Porn Again' to be aired on March 3.
The programme will investigate the pornography industry in the UK-meeting those who make, watch and comment on porn.
In the programme she will talk about her own attitudes to the industry. She would also talk to film-makers, actors, feminists and politicians, as well as men and women who consume pornography.
"As I know from my personal experience, porn fascinates us-media and public alike. But we actually know very little about what it's like to work in the industry and what porn is doing to our society, our children and our relationships," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
"In making this programme, I've been able to challenge my own views and attitudes and I want others to have the chance to join the debate too," she said.
The BBC said the programme would see Smith question her own opinions and experience along the way.
During the hour-long documentary she would also raise questions over the accessibility of porn on the Internet.
Smith initially refused to quit as Home Secretary after a newspaper revealed that two pay-per-view adult films had been charged to the taxpayer, as part of a 67 pounds television package claim in June 2008.
The 48-year-old said it had been a mistake to submit the bill, which also included two other pay-per-view films. However, her husband publicly took the blame. (ANI)
