Washington, Jan 28 (ANI): A third-grader in the US got more information than he bargained for when he picked up a sexually explicit book from his school library.
Calvin McHenry had checked out the graphic novel called 'Tank Girl One' from Hebron Heights Elementary School library in Parkland, Florida.
"I saw lots of people killing people and lots of kissing," Fox News quoted him as saying.
The book is a series about a pilot turned outlaw with a drinking problem who is often prone to violence and routinely finds herself in raunchy sexual situations.
"There was guns to heads, girls with girls, alcohol, sexual things that are just really, really bad," McHenry's mother, Michelle, said while describing the images in the book.
The school board said the book arrived by mistake as part of a large shipment for the new library that contained over 7,000 books.
The book originally ordered by the school is called 'Tank Talbot, A Guide To Girls'.
In a statement, the school board said the book "apparently slipped the attention of the personnel cross-checking and shelving the books due to the similarity in titles". (ANI)
