Nevada(US), Jan 23 (ANI): "Musee de la civilization" in Quebec (Canada) is currently holding an exhibition "God(s), A User's Guide", which reportedly displays Lord Shiva and Garuda.

According to a Museum communique, it offers an open-minded look at religion and related topics. This exhibition does not tackle the notion of spirituality from a theological, historic, or artistic standpoint, but rather through stories and audiovisual documents. It offers an unparalleled mosaic of today's main religions.

It reportedly shows representations of Christ (Christianity), Allah (Islam), Shiva (Hinduism), Buddha (Buddhism), Ten Gurus (Sikhism), Yahweh (Judaism), Eight Immortals (Daoism), and Sedna (Inuit). Animist religions, which are based on the belief in spirits, ancestors, and elements of nature, are also represented. The exhibition also looks at figures who have achieved "cult" status, such as worldwide star Elvis Presley.

Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, commended "Musee de la civilization" for this exhibition and hoped that it would educate visitors about "other" religions.

Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, argued that religion was much more than one's own tradition. World needed to have a broader and more inclusive outlook about religion.

This exhibition, which will run till September 11, reportedly brings together over 225 artifacts, as well as audiovisual displays, interactive content, and iconography presented in a circular-themed design. The circle traditionally recalls the spiritual world as it is a perfect figure without beginning or end that symbolizes the divine, Museum communiqué points out.

"Musee de la civilization" is located in Quebec City and Michael Cote is the Executive Director. (ANI)
