Assange doesn't think Obama 'wears the pants' when it comes to controlling intelligence

Washington , Sat, 08 Mar 2014 ANI

Washington, Mar. 08 (ANI): Wikileaks founder Julian Assange questioned US President Barack Obama's control over the nation's intelligence operation in light of the mega leaks by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.

Assange asked if Obama is wearing pants, and related to the response to Snowden's leaks, he said that it does not look that way.

According to Politico, Assange said that it had been six months since Snowden's revelations and asked if the U.S. citizens have seen the commencement of a criminal investigation against Director of National Intelligence James Clapper for lying to Congress.

He further asked if any investigation had been carried out against anyone in the NSA for violating the U.S. Constitution or if anyone has been fired associated with the breaches of the rights of American citizens.

The Wikileaks founder said that the lack of response would raise questions about who is really calling the shots in the execution of the country's jurisdiction.

WikiLeaks has reportedly been supporting Snowden, who leaked the classified documents about the US' mass surveillance programme, and is currently under temporary asylum in Russia after being charged with espionage by the US. (ANI)
