Ankara, Feb 20 (IANS) Turkish government Wednesday expressed its concern over ongoing violence in the Ukrainian capital city.
Ankara is worried about the recent violence in Ukraine and calls for stabilisation of the situation there, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Wednesday.
"Ukraine is one of the countries with a strategic location in the Black Sea basin. Stability of Ukraine and peace in the country is of vital importance to the whole region," the minister said at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani and Georgian counterparts.
"We are following the developments in Ukraine with concern," he said following the third tripartite summit of the Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish foreign ministers in the Azerbaijani city of Ganja to discuss ties and regional cooperation.
