Baghdad, Jan 12 (IANS) At least seven people were killed Sunday and 26 others injured in two car bomb explosions in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, a police source said.
A car bomb went off at a busy intersection of Adan in Kadhmiyah district in Baghdad, killing four people and wounding 14 others, the source told Xinhua.
Earlier in the day, another car bomb detonated at Alawi parking lot in Baghdad, killing at least three people and injuring 12 others, the source added.
The ambulances and civilian cars evacuated the injured people to hospitals in the capital.
According to the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq, a total of 8,868 Iraqis, including 7,818 civilians and police personnel, were killed in 2013.
