Six killed in Pakistan road accident

Islamabad, Dec 29 (IANS) At least six people were killed in a road accident near Islamabad toll plaza Sunday, officials said.

A passenger bus coming from Multan collided with a trawler near the toll plaza Sunday morning, killing six people on the spot and injuring 25, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) quoted motorway officials as saying.

Two male and two female passengers, the bus hostess and the guard were among those killed in the accident.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, where three of the injured, including a child, were reported to be in critical condition.

The accident occurred due to negligence of the bus driver, officials said.
