London, Dec. 3 (ANI): Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said he sees 'all the signs of a coup' as protests intensify in the country.
Azarov said the government was aware of plans to seize the parliament building in the capital Kiev.
According to the BBC, demonstrators have blocked the main government building and protests continue against a decision not to sign a deal for closer ties with the EU.
President Viktor Yanukovych released his first remarks since historic protest and the violence on Sunday.
Protestors have almost set up a military camp and have erected a very impressive barricade around the perimeter of the demonstration.
Protesters also continue to occupy the Kiev city administration building.
The headquarters of the cabinet has been blockaded, with government employees unable to reach work.
Azarov said the political opposition in Ukraine had the 'illusion' that it could overthrow the existing order.
Speaking during a meeting, Azarov told Western ambassadors that protests showed all the signs of a coup.(ANI)
