Sydney, Oct. 29 (ANI): Al Risalah Islamic bookstore of Sydney has blamed its closure on local and international media for spreading false statements and accusations about it being an extremist, secretive organization.
The manager of the bookstore, Wisam Haddad, said a major loss of sales caused by bad publicity about its operations and patrons has led to its shut down, Sydney Morning Herald reports.
The former bookstore in Bankstown has been at the centre of a media storm in the past year, the report added.
A women's clothing shop will open in its place, however, the community centre behind the store will remain open to the public. (ANI)
