Islamabad , Wed, 09 Oct 2013 ANI

Islamabad, Oct. 9 (ANI): A Pakistan Supreme Court bench has granted bail to former president retired General Pervez Musharraf in Nawab Akbar Bugti's murder case for lack of substantial evidence.

A two-judge bench of the apex court heard Musharraf's appeal against the Balochistan High Court's rejection of his bail application in the Bugti murder case, the Dawn News reports.

Musharaf was also ordered by the Supreme Court to pay two bail bonds of 1 million Rupees each, the report added.

However, son of Nawab Akbar Bugti, who is a complainant in the case, was absent from the court.

Musharraf has been kept under house arrest for more than six months over Bugti case.(ANI)
