Jerusalem, Sept. 16 (ANI): Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's forces are smuggling chemical weapons to Hezbollah to escape international inspection, a member of the opposition has said.
Dr. Kamal Labwani said that the chemical weapons were bring hidden in trucks carrying vegetables and will be stored in Hezbollah-controlled mountain areas of Lebanon, where it will be difficult to find and monitor them.
Labwani said that Syria has also been able to smuggle its chemical arsenal to Russian battleships stationed off the coast of Syria, the Jerusalem Post reports.
Lebanese daily Al-Mustaqbal recently reported that Syria has moved 20 trucks of equipment and material used for the manufacturing of chemical weapons into Iraq.
Baghdad however has denied allegations that it is helping the Syrian government hide chemical stockpiles.(ANI)
