London, Sept. 7 (ANI): The Sherlock star, Benedict Cumberbatch, has said Julian Assange will most likely not endorse the movie "The Fifth Estate", based on his WikiLeaks website.

The 30-year-old actor plays former Guardian journalist turned BBC Newsnight editor Ian Katz in the movie, the BBC reports.

The movie describes the early days of the WikiLeaks, the whistle-blowing website, which unraveled thousands of sensitive classified documents to the public, has opened the Toronto Film Festival this year.

Cumberbatch said his experience had made him more appreciative of the journalistic profession, and the danger and the paranoia that comes along with it.

The Sherlock star responded that he was not a legal expert, when asked about the current stand-off over Assange's future.

Swedish authorities have said they want to question him over claims of raping one woman and sexually molesting another one, while on a visit to Stockholm in August 2010.

Assange has been living at the Ecuadorean embassy under political asylum, since his appeal against extradition to Sweden for questioning on accusations of sex crimes was turned down. (ANI)
