Sydney, Aug. 13 (ANI): Australia's Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has said one of his key candidates for western Sydney has a 'bit of sex appeal'.

During an event, Abbott was asked to compare Fiona Scott to Jackie Kelly who won the seat of Lindsay for the Liberal Party in 1996.

To which Abott replied that the two were young and feisty, adding that they both have a bit of sex appeal and are just very, very connected to the local community.

According to the Courier Mail, Scott is contesting the seat of Lindsay which is held by Labor's David Bradbury by a margin of 1.13 percent.

Abbott's comment was met with embarrassed laughter from Scott and reporters. (ANI)
