Rolling Stone's senior editor apologizes for 'd*** on Dzhokhar's face' tweet

Washington, Sun, 21 Jul 2013 ANI

Washington, July 21 (ANI): Rolling Stone magazine's senior editor has apologized for posting an offensive comment on Twitter, responding to the backlash over the cover story of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Christian Hoard tweeted 'I guess we should have drawn a d*** on Dzhokhar's face or something?'

The tweet was later deleted, and Hoard issued an apology the next day.

According to Fox News, Hoard apologizing for the remark said that he made a sarcastic remark in response to the RS cover controversy.

He added that he still stood by the cover, but not his tweet, which was inappropriate and disrespectful.

The cover has led to outrage among victims, retailers and others who said that the photo glamorizes Tsarnaev.

Rolling Stone issued a statement Wednesday saying the story was part of its "long-standing commitment to serious and thoughtful" coverage of the most important current political and cultural issues, the report added. (ANI)
