London, July 16 (ANI): Burmese President Thein Sein has said all political prisoners in the country will be released by end of the year.
Sein made the remarks during a speech in London, after holding talks with Prime Minister David Cameron.
Burma has freed hundreds of political detainees since Sein took power in March 2010, the BBC reports.
He added that a special committee was reviewing every political inmate's case.
According to the report, Sein is in Britain to discuss trade and military ties, and wants help to boost Burma's economy.
After coming to power, the president has introduced major reforms such as many political prisoners have been freed and media restrictions have been relaxed. (ANI)
