Caribbean airline receives funny complaint letter from passenger

Washington , Tue, 02 Jul 2013 ANI

Washington, July 2 (ANI): Richard Branson has shared a letter that a frustrated passenger wrote to Caribbean Airline, LIAT, in which he travelled as a passenger.

The letter titled 'An open letter to LIAT' and dated June 28 was originally published in the BVI Beacon, a newspaper from the British Virgin Islands, in April 2013, but gained momentum only after Branson tweeted it in June.

The letter is about the woes faced by a less-than-pleased passenger Arthur Hicks, the Huffington Post reported.

Hicks wrote that other flights simply take passengers from point A to B but the flight of this airline stopped at six airports and the flights had to be changed and refuelled at every step of the way.

He sarcastically said that he enjoyed sampling the security scanners at each and every airport and while he was being patted down for security reasons he felt as if he had been hugged by most of the Caribbean already.

Hicks asserted that he also found it unique that all of this was done on island time, as he did not like to have time to absorb the atmosphere of the various departure lounges.

He explained that by the time their flight landed in Tortola, the ferry had long gone all the noisy bars and restaurants were closed.

He added that the airline could keep the bag which got lost, as he never liked it. (ANI)
