Asian immigrant says will always be 'victim of putrid racist comments' in Australia

Sydney, June 21 (ANI): A woman entrepreneur who arrived in Australia as a refugee has said she will always be a victim of discrimination in the country.

Refugee Week Ambassador Nga 'Nahji' Chu said she has tolerated 'putrid' racist comments, including calls for immigrants and supporters to be 'shot at first sight'.

According to news.com.au, Chu, who was born in Laos in south east Asia, and her family fled the Pathet Laos Regime in 1975 and after four years of enduring Thai refugee camps, arrived in Australia to start new lives.

Chu has grown her catering business misschu into a Vietnamese food empire in Australia, and has employed more than 200 people and turning over 20 million dollars a year.

She said tat she will always be discriminated against in Australia irrelevant of how successful she was.

She added that tolerating racism is just part of everyday life for her, including a tirade of abuse on Facebook during Refugee Week, the report added. (ANI)
